So that’s our first week on Tunited gone! It’s been even more awesome than we’d hoped with so many people signing up and – more importantly – coming back again and again. The launch has been a long time coming and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank God, my family, my dog Bonnie...wait, I’ll tell you what’s been going on the site first.
I’m going to name-check a few acts that are doing particularly well in this week’s Tunited charts. If you go to the charts page, you’ll see quite a few well-known independent acts like Temper Trap who have been collecting fans but this is where I’ll highlight a few acts you may not have heard of but who are making waves on the site.
Motion Picture Soundtrack – they're number 1 of stream chart, number 3 in download chart, number 2 in fan chart and the band that is the second most recommended act this week. Sheesh. Motion Picture Soundtrack (pictured) are due to play the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds Festival this month and thanks to their swooning heady vocals, ethereal epic guitars, this indie band just might be keepers. Try Strings That Tie To You for a taster.
