"A band that should definitely be heard!" - Kerrang Radio

"Not since Pink Floyd's comfortably numb has such an intense feeling of longing, loss and loneliness been poured into a song with such passion and integrity.  The results are spellbinding.  Utterly beautiful..."  - Review for BBC Introducing

"The title track [Departure] of this new EP creates a powerful, melodic soundscape.  Promising stuff..."  - Total Guitar magazine (#6 on the on the Total Guitar top downloads chart)

“…however brief it is, the Departure EP is accomplished and highly addictive stuff; if Motion Picture Soundtrack can maintain this level of quality over an album’s length, nothing can stop them…” – SONIC DICE

“…'Departure EP' is a fine release and shows undoubted star quality that deserves recognition…” – ALTSOUNDS

“…With epic, swirling choruses and the type of slick, brooding production that will give White Lies a run for their money in 2010 these guys mean business…” – LONDON TOUR DATES

"...Channelling the spirit of Doves, Editors and Interpol, Motion Picture Soundtrack are from Canterbury in Kent and cite Arcade Fire and Sigur Rós among their influences. There's a similar widescreen sensibility at work, as the intense and panoramic surge of their track Departure comes at you like a shower of knives..." - Road to V (Festival)

“…’Departure’ is beautiful by careful design…” – THE DREADED PRESS

"...As a debut EP, this is a strong, epic statement of intent..." - IS THIS MUSIC?

"…an epic sense of instrumentation and an increasingly emphatic delivery…Rating: 4 out of 5" – INDIE LONDON
